IF YOU WERE WONDERING

A little more about Portways, the infrastructure behind it, and the person who built it.

What is Portways?

Portways is a private, self-hosted platform-as-a-service built and operated by Gaurav (Suvo). It brings application deployments, databases, and infrastructure management into one dashboard, on hardware he owns and manages. It is one of his major personal projects.

Is this a public hosting service?

No. Portways is private infrastructure. This website is a showcase of what Suvo built and an explanation of how it works. It does not offer public registration or hosting plans.

Who built and runs it?

Gaurav, also known as Suvo, built Portways and operates the underlying hardware and infrastructure. For questions for the administrator or owner, email hello@mysuvo.com.

What kinds of applications does it run?

Portways detects Node.js apps from package.json, Python apps from requirements.txt, and static sites from index.html. When a repository includes a Dockerfile, it uses that directly. These are capabilities of the private platform, rather than a hosting offer to visitors.

How does code reach the platform?

The platform supports a public repository URL, a private GitHub repository selected through a connected GitHub App, or a push to its own Git remote. Private repository access uses short-lived, read-only tokens scoped to the selected repository.

What happens during a deployment?

The build pipeline clones the source, detects the environment, builds an image, and starts the application container. Build logs and deployment history are available internally. If a new container crashes on startup, the previous working image is restored.

Does it include databases and storage?

Yes. The platform includes managed Postgres, Redis, and S3-compatible object storage alongside application deployments.

Is Portways open source?

Portways is a private project. This website explains the platform and showcases the work; it does not publish the platform’s source code.

Can I check its status?

The public status page at status.portways.app provides service availability, incident history, and scheduled maintenance updates for services included in monitoring.

How do I get in touch?

For a Portways-related query, email support@portways.app. To contact the administrator or owner directly, email hello@mysuvo.com.

Something else on your mind?

There are separate contacts for Portways queries and for the owner.
